  Final auditions for the international and UK Tour of DIRTY DANCING will shortly begin. Produced by Karl Sydow and Paul Elliott, the director is Federico Bellone and the choreographer is Gillian Bruce. Rehearsals in London are from on or about 20 June 2016 (Ensemble/Vivian) Rehearsals in London are from on or about 4 July (actor musicians) Travel to Ostend is on or about 17 July; technical rehearsals in Ostend on or about 22 July with the first performance on 26 July. The show performs in Ostend until 7 August, returning to the UK on 8 August. Technical rehearsals in Blackpool will then begin on 10 August, first performance on 11 August with the tour continuing to 3 December. There is a break from 5 December-8 January 2017, the tour recommences on 9 January until 13 May with an option to 27 August, 2017. Auditions: Actor musicians – Wednesday 8 June (morning) in London – recalls on Friday 17th June. Female ensemble/Vivian – Friday 17 June in London. General information: DIRTY DANCING – THE CLASSIC STORY ON STAGE tells the story of Baby and Johnny, two fiercely independent young spirits from different worlds, who come together in what will be the most challenging and triumphant summer of their lives. This is a new concept and production, with a new creative team. To join the company they are looking for artistes for the following roles ONLY: FEMALE ENSEMBLE/VIVIAN/COVER MARJORIE: Excellent trained dancer. Must be experienced in partnering work. Some knowledge of Ballroom and Latin styles a bonus. To play the ensemble role of Vivian – the glamorous, sexy ‘bungalow bunny’ – and to cover the principal role of Marjorie (Baby’s mother), so excellent acting and singing skills are required. Playing age 30 – 45; minimum height 5’7. White/Caucasian Schedule 9, Part 1 of the Equality Act 2010; (Occupational Requirements) applies. MUST BE AVAILABLE FOR IMMEDIATE START. Fees: for ensemble – playing UKP550 per week (plus UKP25 1st cover responsibility). UK Touring allowance. Whilst abroad, accommodation, per diems and transport will be provided. Note:
